Hickey Dining Hall went through a remarkable transformation during the summer of 2006. Not only was the interior dramatically redesigned, but the menu and food-delivery systems were revamped to better cater to today’s students’ trends and tastes.

There are choices aplenty every day at every meal, with an emphasis on cooked-to-order dishes and fresh, healthy foods. Hickey now features a Mongolian grill, a made-to-order sandwich station, international specialties, a centerpiece brick pizza oven, grill area, carving station, waffle station, even a dessert cart and ice cream station. Expanded dining hours and wireless Internet access have made Hickey a popular campus meeting place.

Attached to Hickey is Café La Verna, a 5,500-square-foot addition that opened in May of 2007. The Café offers a variety of espresso and other coffee drinks, soups, salads and sandwiches. A double-sided fireplace, cozy nooks with plush leather furniture and relaxed atmosphere make it a popular gathering spot for students, faculty and staff.
